Upside Down is a volunteer-led community group supporting children with Down's Syndrome and their families in Northumberland and the surrounding areas. The group provides regular sessions for children and their parents with a strong focus on education from birth upwards.

Down's Syndrome North East are a charity that provide help and support for all people with Down's Syndrome, their family and friends. They cover Northumberland, Tyneside, Wearside, Durham and Teesside.
Together 21 is a support group that promotes health, wellbeing, learning and fun for children with Down syndrome, their family and carers.
LD:North East are a local charity supporting people with learning disabilities or difficulties across the North of Tyneside area.
Heel and Toe
Heel and Toe's mission is to provide free conductive education therapy to children with physical disabilities in the North East.
SEND to Learn
SEND to Learn provides exceptional inclusive nursery education for children aged 9 months to 5 years. Although open to all students they specialise in children with additional needs and complex medical needs, with care and education individualised to provide all children with the best opportunities for development.
NCT Northumberland Little Stars is a group for parents and carers of little ones with additional needs in the Northumberland region.
North Tyneside Parent Carer Forum
A group of parents and carers of children, young people and adults aged 0-25 who have special educational needs and/or disabilities who live in North Tyneside. NTPCF aim to support parents and carers in the community enabling them to access services and give them a voice in shaping and developing these services.
Blyth Central Children's Centre
Additional needs and Disability parenting support group. A safe space for parents or carers in the South East locality with additional needs, whether physical, medical, developmental or otherwise. South Shields Down's Syndrome Group
A Facebook group for families in the South Shields area who have a child with Down's Syndrome. Connect with other parents to share your local knowledge.
Down With the Kidz
Down with the Kidz Is a North-East Down's Syndrome support group on Facebook. Families from across the region discuss ideas and support each other in raising a child with Down's Syndrome. The group also run a monthly meet up that is open to all members.
